COMEOS, the Belgian federation for retail and services, presented its Mercury Award on Wednesday, 25 October 2017. The Belgian Chocolate House (TBCH) is proud to have been voted the winner: the Mercury Award is a prestigious award reserved exclusively for the most successful retail concept of the year.
An independent jury of seven retail experts visited the nominees anonymously during the past few months, in search of a retail concept in which innovation and consumer experience take centre stage. This year’s winner is The Belgian Chocolate House, the shop that was found to be the most surprising and most capable of creating the greatest added value.
The Belgian Chocolate House offers its customers a unique experience in terms of product range, quality, service and interior. However, we take greatest pride in the fact that we share the history of Belgian chocolate with so many, and are wholeheartedly engaged in spreading this tradition worldwide. Being conferred the Mercury Prize is the proverbial cherry on the cake in recognition of our daily dedication.
The Belgian Chocolate House is a concept of International Duty Free and currently has branches at the airports of Brussels and Charleroi, in the Brussels South railway station and in Luxembourg City. In the near future, International Duty Free wishes to expand the concept to the most important cities in the world, including New York, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Tokyo, Shanghai, London and Berlin.
